FAQ

How do I get to Playgroup Festival?

Although the exact location of Playgroup Festival will remain a secret known only to ticket holders, we can tell you that it’ll be around 30 minutes drive from Brighton, there is also a train station nearby with a cab journey setting you back a maximum of 10 minutes.

Is there a ‘Theme’ this year?

Yes! This is Playgroup Festival after all! The theme is as secret as the location, you will be emailed with your character and a few chosen missions after you have bought your ticket – we trust you will make an amazing effort as always!

What Time does the Festival open?

Festival gates will be open from 3pm on the 16th  and 10am on Saturday and Sunday – main gates close at 10pm each night, so please try to arrive before then.

I have issues with my ticket, who should I contact?

If you bought your ticket as a Playgroup Member then please contact us directly at hello@playgroupbrighton.org  or if you bought a full price ticket, you need to contact Gigantic.com on 0115 807 7900.

Are you selling day tickets?

No, we’re such a small event that we’ll not be selling day tickets at the present time.

Am I allowed to bring my dog to the festival?

Unfortunately not, we love our four legged friends but the owner of our site has allot of livestock and does not want any extra animals on their land – with the exception of guide dogs.

I’m registered disabled – can I bring me carer?

Yes, please get in contact with us in advance to arrange this. Email hello@playgroupfestival.com.

What alcohol if any can I take in with me?

You can take one crate of beer or a bottle of spirits, please remember that we are a small festival and really rely on bar sales to help us carry on in future years – please buy our booze, it’s cheap and plentiful! NO GLASS is allowed on site, so remember to decanter in to plastics.

Can we have fires/BBQ in the campsite?

We have a big central campfire for all so would rather you sit round that, telling stories and eating marshmallows.

I’m a member, do I get reduced rate car parking pass?

No, you get a discounted adult ticket saving you £25, but your car doesn’t.

Playgroup Festival seems a bit different this year, how come?

We decided that after 3 years of Playgroup Festival, we’d rather run something that doesn’t try to compete with other events or get bigger and bigger by the season, we wanted something that we knew our friends would come to perform and participate in every year and something that we can be really proud of while getting on with the rest of our lives – we think this is it.

What should I bring to Playgroup Festival?

Apart from a smile and happy attitude you should probably bring a tent, some friends, a big helping of fun.

Is Playgroup Festival Child friendly?

Simply, yes. We’ve always welcomed child and parent alike but please be aware that we’re a VERY small festival this year and while we’ll have a number of children’s activities and a small day time cinema, there’ll be no large dedicated program of events as with previous years, that said, we still feel they’ll have a great time and whole heartedly welcome families.

What food will be at Playgroup Festival?

A selection of vegetarian and beautifully home cooked food will be available by 3 food traders all weekend.
